When you're looking for elegance but also a neighborhood vibe, creative and intriguing food preparation but nothing crazy, you should head to Citron Bistro.
Nestled in the Village Shops on A1A, Citron provides both indoor and outdoor seating and friendly but not obsequious service. They are open for dinner every night except Sunday in the summer time, starting at 5pm. The "New American" menu offers a bevy of fresh seafood, of course, including shrimp, salmon, tuna, and crab, but they are plenty of options for meat eaters as well.
And if you're lucky, you'll get to order some fresh Garden of Esther pasta, lovingly prepared by Chef Esteban. Look what he's put together most recently: sea scallops, crushed san marzano tomatoes, and fresh basil, with a touch of cream and a light dusting of aged pecorino cheese, all over a bed of GoE tagliatelle.
Almost too pretty to eat! Almost. The only way to know for sure is to get over there for dinner and decide for yourself!
Remember to always call ahead at this time of year to be sure they're open. Even chefs get to take vacation sometimes.
